Externally, we work collaboratively with a range of academic and civil society partners, and internally we strive for a collegial and stimulating working environment. - Facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Political Studies - Conduct research and publish in Political Studies - Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision - Provide academic leadership and administration - Undertake curriculum development and assessment - Participate in community engagement and outreach **Minimum Requirements** - Masters qualification in the field of Political Studies - Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in Political Studies **Added Advantages**: - PhD qualification in the field of Political Studies - Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in the area of International Relations - A current record of research output relevant to Political Studies **Key competencies**: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - Presentation and facilitation skills - Adaptability and the ability to operate in a diverse environment - Student focused approach - Planning and organising skills - Computer literacy and e-learning skills - Technical professional knowledge and skills in the discipline and in the core strategic areas, namely learning and teaching, research and scholarship, community engagement as well as professional leadership
