**Job Purpose and Overview**:
The Multimedia Designer’s job duties include working closely with our Creative Department Team and/or Business Operations Team to develop, design and implement and design and produce high-end visual, textual, and animated content.

**Responsibilities**:

- Designer creates artwork for the web, television, or film. They use visual effects, animation and other cinematic techniques to bring life to their creations.
- Designer creates live video content, graphics, and animation for electronic devices, web programs, video games, and for smartphones and mobile platforms, including apps.
- Designer must keep up with new techniques and programs as they emerge, integrating relevant tools and skills into their day-to-day work. Designer must continuously discover and implement new design elements and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Designer must have experience using the standard design programs such as, but not limited to, Animation software (Blender), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Aftereffects, Premier Pro, Animate).
- Responsible for creating multimedia tools for brands, products, and services, for company brands and clients.
- Designer may edit video footage into an attractive package; they may also be in charge of web design, including landing pages, for the company and/or clients. Additionally, multimedia designers may create print products such as, but not limited to, infographics, reports, brochures, publications and case studies.
- Designer must keep up with new techniques and programs as they emerge, integrating relevant tools and skills into their day-to-day work. Designer must continuously discover and implement new design elements and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Designer must have experience using the standard design programs such as, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, Aftereffects, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, Animate).

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Relevant qualifications in Graphic Design and/or Digital Design and/or film or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role.
- A complete portfolio of multimedia design content showcasing your skills and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of software design programs.
- To ensure success, you should have a background in digital design.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate on projects, short term and long term.
- Excellent knowledge of storyboarding, visual design principles and animation.
- Artistic with a keen for aesthetics and visually appealing content.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ultimately, a top-notch multimedia designer whose visual design skills translate into high quality animated content that engages website viewers.

**Job Type**: Internship
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: R5,000.00 per month
