We are now looking for a** **Field** **Service** **Technician** to join our South Africa Operational** **Organization based in** Cape Town, South Africa** **Your role and responsibilities**: As a** **Field** **Service** **Technician**, **your** **daily duties include but are not limited to: - Perform maintenance and repair jobs in relation to other products of Wärtsilä corporation - Fulfil tasks given by the Field Service Team Leader - Use & maintain shop & field tools in accordance with good mechanical-work practices - Prepare & submit parts requisitions as required - Maintain current individual time sheets & expense records to support the timely invoicing of jobs to customers - Maintain a professional appearance & conduct - Maintain the quality & efficiency of mechanical work performed (as measured by warranty costs), & in accordance with manufacturers specifications & ISO procedures - Accurate & timely care of Wärtsilä specialty tools (field & shop) used to perform service work - Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance through positive interactions with customers - Conform with & abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures & instructions - Conform to all safety rules & use of all appropriate safety equipment - Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude to assist Company staff with any "ad-hoc" duties that may be required - Submit accurate and high-quality service work reports within 48 hours of returning home from assigned jobs - Promote Wärtsilä Products and Services. **Requirements for the position**: - **Qualification**: Qualification/trade certificate relevant to the industry and position - **Experience**: 3-5 years in a similar position with value adding experience - Must reside in Kenya - willing to relocate **Why you and us**: We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
