Transport Superintendent

Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Logistics Sector is looking to employ a Transport Superintendent to join their dynamic team in Durban.
- Planning, scheduling, utilizing trucks, liasing with clients and their customers, programme distribution, manage drivers and loaders
- Attending pre plan meetings and daily planning meetings
- Safety and work performance of own and sub-contractor drivers
- Communication with internal and external customers/ service providers
- Dealing with IR Related issues
- Co-ordination and co-ordination with the other company departments
- Effective planning and supervision of staff
- Improvement in housekeeping standards
- Improvement in team spirit and morale
- Improving productivity and vehicle turnaround times
- Overall responsibility for productivity and efficiency of operation shifts

**Job Requirements**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Diploma in Transport related qualifications would be an advantage
- Computer literate
- Proven experience in a transport environment in a supervisory role would be an advantage
- Mechanical appreciation awareness
- Knowledge and understanding of NOSA/ISO Systems and procedures
- Sound industrial relations knowledge and experience including investigations and initiation of disciplinary enquires
- Vailed Code 08 drivers license
