**Snr HR Practitioner**

**Key Performance areas/Responsibilities are but not limited to**:

- **Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding**:_

Drive and conduct the full recruitment and take on process according to relevant procedures and requirements including monthly probationary interviews.

Organise, compile, and update the HR induction program.
- **Job Grade and Job Descriptions**:_

Drive and maintain the upkeep of job descriptions and assist line management with writing new job descriptions as per standardised process.

Actively participate in the job grading process.
- **Labour relations & Compliance**:_

Provide a full IR support function w.r.t to all labour relations (misconduct, poor performance, ill-health/incapacity, grievances) processes and matters.

Build and maintain sound relationships with employees and union through effective and frequent communication. Update, communicate and ensure compliance to all HR policies and procedures.

Prepare and assist with Siza and DOL audits.
- **Training and Development**:_

Conduct training needs and skills gap analysis for business and assist with the compiling of training budget/plan.

Plan, coordinate and organise relevant training initiatives.

Facilitate and conduct inhouse training and toolbox talks
- **Performance Management**_

Drive quarterly performance management process and capture results
- **Employee Administration**_

Monthly capturing, compiling, and reporting of HR information (training, IR, union membership, housing, absence, WSP, ART’s, & IOD’s etc.

Execute full termination process of an employee incl. the performing of exit interviews.

Responsible for the processing of all death, funeral, ill health provident funds claim for wage employees

Maintain employee records
- **Management**_

Plan, supervise and assist Health worker with her daily tasks (incl. but not ltd too medical supplies, medical follow ups etc.).
- **Welfare**_

Maintain and oversee housing unit allocations, living arrangements in hostel area and conducts regular house inspections.

**Key Technical competencies and experience**

Bachelor’s Degree/Higher diploma in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology

At least 5 years relevant HR Practitioner experience within a unionised environment

Previous HR generalist experience within an Agricultural, packhouse and or FMCG environment will be advantageous.

Working knowledge of relevant Acts (BCEA, SD13, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHSA) & Siza

Strong IR experience in a unionised environment with previous CCMA experience at least at conciliation level.

Intermediate usage of MS Office

Previous Sage People and Farm Trace experience will be advantageous

Able to converse in an African language will be advantageous

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

initiative as appropriate

Good facilitation and conflict management skills

Must be able to work flexible hours when required to service customer requirements

Ability to multitask and work in an open office environment

Must have own car and a valid driver’s licence

Good team player

**Salary**: R38,000.00 - R45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Villiersdorp, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:

- HR Generalist in a unionized environment: 6 years (preferred)
