**MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN- CAPE TOWN**

Job description:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings
- Produce detailed drawings for fabrication/manufacturing
- Produce detailed drawings for machined parts
- Produce General Arrangement and Layout drawings
- Conduct site measurement of structures and areas
- Consultation with Engineers and workshop teams to get input to optimize designs
- Accurate record keeping, updating, and general control of all drawings

Qualifying Experience:

- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Formal drafting certification
- Drafting experience in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Lite and Solid Works packages
- Computer literate -MS Advance office package proficiency
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Engineering design knowledge is essential
- Knowledge of structural steel tables and sections essential

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Prepared to work overtime when required
- Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload in a pressurised environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with people on all levels
