Sales & Marketing Manager

**The Role**:
We are in the market for a highly skilled and experienced Sales & Marketing Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the Brand and Sales functions whilst building strategic customer relationships. The incumbent will also participate in the strategic decision-making processes of the organization as a member of the executive management team in efforts to align the sales strategy to maximise sales growth.
**What you need**:
- Relevant Sales or Marketing tertiary Qualification
- 8 to 10 years appropriate experience, 5 years of which should have been at management level.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Sales and marketing principles and methodologies
- High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player
- Effective cross functional communicator within the Company, the Group and the customers
- A driver with a never-quit attitude that knows how to drive sales on an accelerated schedule
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Regular interaction with Key Account Managers in order to advise them on branding activities, and keep up to date with customer requirements
- Developing and maintaining the corporate identity of the company internally and externally
- Develop Brand strategy within Sales and Marketing strategy
- Develop and implement innovative ways to create brand exposure, e.g. events, media, corporate, social responsibility programmes, sponsorships, etc.
- Build customer relationships through establishing and continuous improvement of an effective website and regular targeted publications
- Ensure regular interaction with Key Account Managers in order to advise them on branding activities, and keep up to date with customer requirements
- Process Sales brief for specific customer branding/promotional activities.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets at budgeted margins
- Seeking new business opportunities
- Initiate product pricing
- Approve, coordinate and control all projects related to these operations
- Lead the sales team towards meeting strategy and targets - through regular communication and utilisation of full organisational talent management tool set.
- Provide the overall management and set the strategic direction for the Sales Teams
- Focus management towards the goal of yielding profitable revenue growth for the company.
- Keep current with trends and issues in the industry, including current industry best practices and innovations.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Sales/Marketing: 5 years (required)
