**FUNCTION**: DAMS LEADER **DISCIPLINE**: ENGINEERING **LOCATION**: TSHWANE **DURATION**: PERMANENT **SALARY**: MARKET RELATED - ________________________ "TRS has an exciting opportunity for a DAMS Leader with Engineering Design and Hydropower Engineering experience to join our client’s project team based in TSHWANE." **JOB DESCRIPTION**: - Lead a Dams Engineering design team with a particular focus on the delivery of projects in the Australia and New Zealand markets. - Managing and coordinating projects from feasibility to detailed designs. - Acting as a technical expert or reviewer on dams engineering projects. - Oversight and technical approval of designs, assessments, analyses and calculations in accordance with quality procedures. - Driving business development opportunities mainly focused on Australia and New Zealand. - Assisting work winning teams with the preparation of bids and tenders when required. - Technical custodianship of key Dam Engineering design competencies. - Mentoring and developing engineering staff in your areas of key expertise. - Driving the ongoing development of careers and competencies, services and technologies of the Dams Engineering team. **QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**: - Accredited MSc (preferred) /BSc or MEng (preferred) /BEng in Agricultural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree. - Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Dams Engineering, with demonstrated ability to act as a recognized technical expert in the field of dams engineering. - Experience in Hydropower Engineering will be a significant advantage for the role. - Registered as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) with ECSA (preferably for longer than 8 years). - ____________________ **Contact**: Philisile Ndlovu “We are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
