Grocery Supervisor

**URGENTLY SEEKING GROCERY SUPERVISOR**

**LOCATION: PHOENIX**

**Company Description**

A large retail store based in Phoenix is looking for a dynamic individual to take upon the role as a Grocery Supervisor

**Purpose**: to effectively support and supervise the grocery department.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist with the management of the department staff; plans and controls the daily activities, and assists in enforcing discipline amongst staff
- Assist with buying of products; determines the replenishment requirements, and coordinates any returns as well as stock rotation.
- Coach your team by motivating and developing them to achieve objectives & strategies.
- Product merchandising; allocate space for internal/external merchandisers and check for promotions and pricing of goods.
- Ensure that merchandising standards are on par and that correct PI Labels on shelves
- Controlling shrinkage; ensures stock in warehouse is at optimum levels and monitors shrinkage levels.
- Promotional advertising; purchases additional stock for promotions, coordinates in-store promotions.
- General admin; checking invoice pricing, monitors the rate of sale of product

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 1 year experience as a manager in a retail store.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.

**EXPERIENCE IN THE RETAIL INDUSTRY IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS POSITION**
