**Key areas of responsibility in this position include**: - Service and calibrate various electronic and optical instruments - Use assorted workshop equipment to assess and repair instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering iron, power tools etc.) - Read and comprehend complex manuals and diagrams - Complete detailed job cards per job - Keep records of work done in each job - Liaise with sales representative to finalise quotes - Update reports and maintain inventory To qualify for this position, applicants must possess the following: - Qualification - Matric Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science - Familiarity working with various tools and equipment. - A relevant diploma or apprenticeship as an electronic technician would be advantageous. - Valid driver’s licence. - Must have own motor vehicle. - Skills - Hands-on experience with electronic testing circuitry - Computer literate. - Well-developed English language skills in order to communicate clearly and effectively. - Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) - Behavioural attributes - A keen attention to detail and orderliness.
