**JOB TITLE: Field Guide**

**REPORTS TO**:Safari Manager

**LOCATION**: Qwabi Game Reserve - Limpopo

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Make sure the guiding experience is of top standard.
- Make sure the guiding department adheres to the conservation ideals of the property.
- Conservation is key and the guiding department needs to always portray that.
- Make sure all guiding equipment is well looked after and clean.
- Make sure guides stay motivated and educated.
- Make sure all activities are safe for guests
- Make sure guides stick to all protocols
- Ensure a high team spirit-happy guides,happy guests
- Encourage qualification upgrade of guides
- Team building
- Lead by example
- Work out cycles
- Manage Radio protocol
- Training of guides
- Guiding,walking and activities
- Hosting
- Respect

**CORE COMPETENCIES**:

- CATHSSETA Certificate
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Valid PDP license
- Trails qualification plus experience
- Senior guide experience
- Team player
- Big 5 experience
