A market leader in retail (Fashion, Apparel & Travel) with expertise & world class infrastructure to house iconic international & local fashion brands, is hiring a Merchandise Planner. This position will either be office based in Johannesburg or Home Based in Cape Town.

This is a exciting opportunity to become part of a established, but also rapidly expanding fashion house.

**Role Description**:

- Conduct post-seasonal analyses where the previous season’s performance is reviewed, and specific relevant trends are identified.
- Review styles in terms of their key attributes related to sales performance e.g., colour, style, range, price points, store performance, core versus fashion, size analysis etc.
- Compile buying plans and seasonal size risks by product category
- Manage mark down budgets in line with aged stock levels
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationship with the international planning team
- Pricing strategy and in season management
- Manage monthly trend meetings
- Manage and direct all aspects of the divisions merchandise planning and allocation policies, objectives, and initiatives
- Managing inventory through adapting to the market and accurate forecasting

**Requirements**:

- Strong analytical, commercial and financial business acumen
- Bachelor's Degree in business, fashion, design or equivalent experience
- At least 2-3 years’ experience as a Planner, but 5 years plus preferred.
- Self-motivated, self-starter who can cope with multiple tasks retaining a high level of accuracy.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Hardworking and flexible attitude to work, time management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills

**Salary - **R25k to R45k, dependant on experience

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R45,000.00 per month

**Experience**:
