Commercial Underwriter

**Who are we?**

**What will you do?**
- The Miway Business Insurance department is looking for a new Commercial Underwriter to join the Miway Business Insurance Specialist support team.

**Minimum Qualification**
- Regulatory Exam (RE 5)
- FAIS credits and Class of Business
- Matric / NQF 4
- Applicable post-matric insurance related qualification will be advantageous

**Minimum Experience**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience using MIA and TIA
- Any commercial claims related experience will be beneficial
- Any commercial insurance sales or servicing experience will be beneficial

**Competencies Required**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent people skills
- Strong analytical ability
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Profitable Underwriting
- Client service (complaints/queries/ investigations/advice)

- Reporting and adhoc meetings
