**Introduction**
**Role Purpose**
A regional assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Provincial Executive and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the region.
**Requirements**:
- 3-4 years' relevant experience (essential)
- Exposure to supporting a manager or team (desirable)
- Exposure to the insurance industry (desirable)
- Grade 12 with Accounting or Mathematics
- NQF Level 5 (advantage)
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Internal Process
- Proactively manage, coordinate, and maintain the diary of the line manager.
- Assist with monitoring of all key performance indicators applicable to the region.
- Assist with weekly and monthly reporting.
- Coordinate all aspects of meetings, workshops, and functions according to manager’s requirements, and within budget parameters.
- Administrative support for meetings and workshops (collate, compile, and distribute agendas, presentations, minutes within agreed timeframes).
- Co-ordinate travel arrangements for manager with the SSD Executive Personal Assistant
- Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring enough stock is always available, in line with budget parameters.
- Prepare and check invoices and arrange for payments to ensure adherence to requirements and Service Level Agreements.
- Assist with new staff on boarding.
- Together with the Provincial Executive manage the fair allocation and recording and requisitioning of promotional items.
- Custodian of marketing material including but not limited to promotional items, gazebos, banners.
- The fulfilment, execution of any reasonable task from the Provincial Executive that will aide and support them in executing their function.

**Working Conditions**:
- The Regional Assistant will work primarily in an office environment but may also be required to travel to various locations within the region.
- The position may require occasional evening and weekend work to support provincial events and activities.
- The Regional Assistant will report to the Provincial Executive and may work closely with other members of the provincial team.
