Solar Site Manager with 3-phase Wireman’s License

An exciting opportunity is available for a **3-phase wireman’s licensed Solar Site Manager** with our **Solar Energy **client in Benoni.

**Salary**: R25 000 per Month (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

**Requirements**:

- Experience within site management
- Experience in construction, engineering, or energy sectors is highly desirable.
- **Valid 3-phase wireman’s license as approved by the Department of Labour.**:

- **Experience with issuing certificate of compliance (COC).**:

- **Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems**, inverters, monitoring systems, and associated equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, optimise system performance, and troubleshoot problems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Must have a valid vehicle and driver’s license.

**Responsibilities**:
**Team Management**:

- Lead and supervise teams responsible for the installation of solar energy systems.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the team members, ensuring their professional development.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects and activities.

**Operations and Maintenance**:

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to optimise the performance and reliability of solar installations.
- Conduct regular inspections of solar sites to identify potential issues or malfunctions and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with warehouse and suppliers for the procurement of equipment, spare parts, and necessary resources.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

**Performance Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Monitor the performance of solar energy systems, including energy production, efficiency, and system availability.
- Analyse data and metrics to identify trends, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to enhance system performance.
- Prepare regular reports on site operations, maintenance activities, performance metrics, and any incidents or failures.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of solar sites.

**Safety and Environmental Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental policies at all solar sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and implement corrective measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Promote a safety culture among the team members, encouraging adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and

**Stakeholder Coordination**:

- Liaise with project developers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as engineering, sales, warehouse, procurement, and finance, to facilitate effective project execution.
- Respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from clients, addressing their needs and maintaining positive relationships.

**Issue Certificate of Compliance**:

- Issue a COC upon successful completion of installation.
- Should an error occur which is fixable immediately, then this will need to be completed directly on site to ensure no time delays occur with the installation.

**Salary**: R24,000.00 - R28,000.00 per month

**Experience**:
