**Risk Specialist**

**Purpose**

Ensure that the Scheme maintains an adequate and effective risk management program. The position is responsible for promoting risk and regulatory compliance by identifying, quantifying, reviewing, evaluating, and measuring risk to ensure that all risk categories are identified and managed in accordance with regulatory compliance and audit requirements, approved risk tolerance, risk appetite and strategic plans.

**Responsibilities**

**Risk policies and processes**
- Regular review and update of all risk policy and process documents related to risks
- Keeping record and process monitoring of existing policies and procedures

**Risk Management**
- Communications of Risk Profiles
- Conduct Risk Workshops (Strategic and Operational)
- Risk Register Maintenance
- Improvement of controls (Effectiveness and descriptions)
- Action plan monitoring and reporting
- Attending to Actions (Board, Risk and EXCO)
- Maintenance of Risk System

**Business Continuity**
- Document Review (CMP, BCP, BIA, Policy, Framework)
- Drafting of departmental BCPs
- Training and Awareness
- Alignment and consolidation of DR plan/element to BCM reporting
- BCM Committee Meetings and Appointments

**Occupational Health and Safety**
- Monitoring of reports and actions
- Reporting to Committees

**Combined Assurance**
- Action Of Internal Audit Findings (Risk Management, Fraud & Ethics, BCM)
- Combined Assurance

**Corporate Insurance**
- Gap Analysis
- Renewal of Policies
- Procedure Document

**Fraud Management**
- Reporting to Risk Committee, Board and Social & Ethics Committee

**Risk Reporting**
- EXCO Reports to be completed on time and accurately
- Risk and Board reports completed on time and accurately
- Risk Profile Reporting to Risk Committee and Board

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management/control, compliance, audit or business
- support/management role within the financial services industry
- Relevant Degree / Honours Degree
