Conveyancing Paralegal

We are looking for a motivated Conveyancing Paralegal to join our Legal Department.
Key Responsibilities Duties may include but not limited to:
- Working knowledge of the entire bond registration and transfer process.
- Submit Bond instructions to external conveyancers.
- Perusal and understanding of company loan documents, conditions, interpreting conditions listed against a property and prepare files
- Compile bundles that include various conveyancing documents such ss POA’s, FICA and other certificates.
- Prepare and action accounts relating to Proceed to Lodge, Lodge, on prep and payment of guarantees before registration.
- Attending to all financial aspects of the transactions including ensuring the correct costs are charged, the correct figures are sent to the attorneys and other general account queries
- Preparing files for cancellation of bonds that are with our office.
- Processing supporting documentation within the various conveyancing steps
- Monitoring and efficiently keeping track of the accounts within the conveyancing process to expediate any delays.
Skills and knowledge:
- Through understanding of the conveyancing process in general, i.e., Bonds, cancellations etc.
- Understanding loan conditions, being able to interpret deeds office and other records related to a property.
- The ability to attend to a bond instruction independently from inception up until registration, whilst effectively managing high volumes.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Team player and strong interpersonal skills.
- Meticulousness and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
- Matric/Grade 12 essential - LLB degree or similar qualification
- 5+ Years’ experience similar role
- Microsoft Office experience
- Numbers orientated to understand basic calculations
- Good communication skills to interact with clients/service providers etc.
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Good command of the English language
- Liaising with various departments
- Conflict resolution management
- Strong administration skills
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
