Operational Nursing Manager: Professional Services

**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to ensure that a hoilistic nursing care service is delivered to patients in a cost effective, efficient and equitable manner by the unit and to ensure compliance to professional and ethical practice. This post is stationed in Cape Town.
**Minimum Requirements**:
A Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/ Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification) that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse; Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse; A minimum of 7 years appropriate/ recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Supervise and ensure the provision of an effective and efficient patient care though adequate nursing care; Coordinate and monitor the implementation of nursing care plan and evaluation thereof; Proivde relevant health information to health care users to assist in achieving optimal health care and rehabilitation of patients; Maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders; Participate in the analysis, formulation and implementation of nursing guidelines, practices, standards and procedures; Manage and monitor proper utilisation of human, financial and physical resources.

**Remuneration**:
R 497 193 per annum, Grade 1 (OSD as prescribed)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
