**Shelflife **is looking for an energetic individual to join their Head Office Finance Team as an Accounts Clerk.

**Required competencies for this position**:

- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Deadline-driven and problem solver
- Understanding of Accounting principles-debits and credits
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role (Advantageous)
- Ability to accurately prepare, record and process accounting transactions
- Ability to analytically review and investigate irregularities
- Good communication skills in order to provide or obtain information.
- Must have a clear understanding of procedures within a retail and stock control environment
- Must be able to use initiative to identify risk areas and save opportunities
- Must be able to create/improve recons to assist the department in producing accurate and efficient reports to Management

**Additional requirements for the position**
- Completed Grade 12 with mathematics and/or accounting is essential
- Certificate / Diploma in Accounting (Advantageous)
- Computer literacy
- Competent Excel Skills
