Confirmation of Discretionary Grants Projects.

Valid and Complete Commitment Schedule.

Verification of supporting documentation against discretionary contracts and processes.

Tracing Discretionary Grant recipients

Reduced DG Commitment balance

Financial Reporting

Daily maintenance of the commitment schedule and commitment note to the AFS.

Perform accurate monthly reconciliations.

Internal Controls and Risk Management

Continuous improvement of financial policies and practises.

Continuous improvement of project management processes.

Reduction in overall audit findings.

Efficient document management.

People Management

Direct and support team members.

Coordinate and consolidate work for direct reports.

Provide capacity building, through training, coaching and development of direct reports.

Ensure that employees have clear work expectations and goals.

Ensure attendance of staff.

Manage the disciplinary of employees in the Department.

Qualification

NQF level 7 qualification in Finance or Accounting
A qualification in Project Management will serve as an advantage

Experience

7 years working experience required, of which 5 must be supervisory experience.

At least 3 years’ experience must have been in a Senior Finance management role
