Communications Assistant

The Communication Assistant will be responsible for administration, logístical requirements, technical production, and project management of all activities of the Heritage Careers Expo.
The Assistant needs to have strong project management skills and be a good communicator as there will be constant need for liaising with various organisations.
Master Champions, DHET and other stakeholders.
The management of theHeritage Careers Expo will require extensive travel across the country especially in rural areas.
The communication assistant will also be responsible for the coordination and execution of all Skills Centre launches, handover events and sod turning events.
The assistant will need to continue with duties pertaining to logistics for the events.
Develop the project plan for the Heritage Careers Expo.
Ensure smooth execution of the Heritage Careers Expo activities.
Plan and execute launches and handover events of skills centres.
Aid with the execution of the organisations marketing and communications strategy.
Assist in the management and updating of content across social media platforms and websites.
Assist with the design of departmental and organisation’s presentation.
Manage marketing materials and learner packs foe exhibitions as part of event launches.
Assist with design of marketing collaterals for internal and external use.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Matric + 1 Year Certificate or Equivalent in Communication / Journalism / Public Relations Graphic Designer qualification.
1 years’ experience in marketing and communication/ in latest Graphic Design programmes.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
Excellent communication skills.
Project management skills.
Report writing.
Agency and supplier management.
Basic design and Powerpoint presentation and creation.
A basic understanding and knowledge of digital communications.
Events management and production.
