Be the Driving Force Shift Supervisor Role for Plant Operations

Our client is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Capetown.

JOB SUMMARY:
This person will be responsible for the shift operation of the plant; will liaise with the maintenance personnel for the planning of maintenance intervention and to mitigate the impact on the plant operation; will liaise with the process controllers to operate the plant and with remote technical support to ensure process adjustments are implemented; while striving to optimize the annual cost of operations of the plant.

Primary goal: To supervise and manage the performance of the process controllers, equipment and processes.

REQUIRED COMPETENCE:

- NQF level 6 qualification (Diploma & Advanced Certificate) in water science, chemistry, environmental science or a related field will be an advantage.
- Eight or more years of experience in water treatment and/or biogas plant operation in a supervisory role.
- Experience in managing operations and maintenance staff.
- Ability to prepare and submit operational reports.
- Required to perform shift work and work outside normal working hours, during emergencies and planned overtime.
- Be responsible, reliable and work independently.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid Drivers’ Licence (code EB).

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: R28,000.00 per month

**Experience**:
