Performance Pulse Data Analyst

RetailNext is looking for a Performance Pulse Data Analyst to work with large data sets and assist the world's largest retailers run their business through providing benchmarking analysis of the wider retail industry across various continents, regions, countries, and cities. Being an Analyst for a thriving start-up, you will be required to practice your analytical, creative, and innovative abilities. As part of a growing, fast-paced venture, this is a unique opportunity to collaborate on the analytical direction of RetailNext.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Manage a dataset of retail traffic (RetalNext's Retail Benchmarking dataset, the Performance Pulse) and **run various standardized recurring analysis to meet individual daily and weekly reporting requirements on retail traffic trends and deadlines in both the United Kingdom and eastern United States.**
- Compile and aggregate data from the cloud platform using command line tools and python
- Update excel reports and identify potential data integrity issues and escalate as soon as possible
- Mine data to produce trend reports for both specific retailer as well as broader industry consumption as well as identify opportunities to expand reporting opportunities
- Use PowerBI to update dashboard that RetailNext makes available to the public
- Be an active member/contributor to an incredible analyst team at a dynamic leading-edge technology company

**Other Responsibilities**
- Model and analyze RetailNext's rich set of disparate data and prepare actionable recommendations for our retail customers
- Work closely with the customer success team to design and implement advanced data solutions for customers
- Work with product management, engineering, support, and other functions within the company to advance data initiatives

Desired Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years of related work experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
- Python knowledge and experience strongly preferred
- PowerBI knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of and sensitivity towards data integrity and cleanliness
- Excellent attention to detail, in terms of numerical data as well as presentation precision and elegance
- Experience with statistical data analysis
- Ability to glean actionable insights from large data sets and build well-crafted stories using PPT
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working collaboratively. Passionate about start-ups and big data innovation
