Eskort is looking for a dynamic Quality Controller to join our Quality team at the Distribution Centre in Centurion.

**Desired Experience and Qualifications**
- Ideally 3 years’ experience in the food industry in quality assurance and food safety
- National Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Consumer Science, Quality management or equivalent qualification essential
- Certification in PRP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 would be advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years working at a Distribution Centre or Warehouse
- Numeracy Skills - to calibrate and measure specifications
- Technical skills - to understand technical documents, manuals and blueprints to ensure that products meet the correct standard
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Documentation and reporting skill
- Intermediate Computer literacy skills

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist in development and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System
- Assisting in and performing Food Safety internal audits (HACCP & GMP)
- Filling and documentation, record control
- Manage pest control
- Prepare documentation for Export
- Arrange product sampling
- Manage personal hygiene program
- Manage maintenance and cleaning schedule
- Conduct daily pre-ops checklist
- Verification of records
- Create COC
- Monitoring of cold chains
- Manage NCR and customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with the SOP's for handling product
- Ensure product moves through warehouse in an efficient manner
- Investigate any quality and food safety issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved
- Ensure blast freezing process is controlled and managed
