**IVANHOE MINES is looking for a Risk and Compliance Manager**

**Ivanhoe Mines is a leading Canadian mining company committed to becoming a global leader in the supply of critical resources required to transition our world to a low-carbon, renewable future. Ivanhoe is focused on developing and expanding its four principal mining and exploration projects in Southern Africa. The development of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), the Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa-Kakula.**

By having to advise and adopt in a risk-based approach, to ensure that the material compliance risks implemented on the group are addressed and properly reduced.

**Requirements**:

- CA (SA), MBA or Law Degree with at least,
- 5+ years’ experience in a compliance role position in a medium to large multinational firm with operations in South Africa, Africa and abroad.
- Must come from a mining, construction, or similar industry experience.

**Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to**:
**Process**:

- Develop and implement a compliance risk management process in line with generally accepted compliance practice.
- Implement a compliance monitoring programmes to identify and improve areas of compliance weakness and to ensure that there are adequate controls in place.
- Design and implement a regulatory universe and monitor and update when required.
- Ensure that regulatory compliance in the Group gets the necessary attention it needs.
- Develop a Group compliance framework which aligns to the Group risk management framework.
- Design and lead a strong compliance culture in the business by effectively communicating to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
- Verify that all regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
- Provide compliance assurance to the relevant management teams, group risk management committee, audit committee or social, ethics and risk committee
