Senior Syspro Consultant

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a hands-on Senior SYSPRO Consultant to join our internal IT and Operations team on a contract basis. This role will serve as a force multiplier for the existing team, providing advanced technical expertise to support the current SYSPRO environment while enabling the successful delivery of new initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Collaborative Support and Infrastructure**:

- Work closely with the internal support team to resolve escalated issues and maintain overall system stability.
- Support the monitoring and ongoing health of the SYSPRO environment in collaboration with the infrastructure team to ensure optimal performance.
- Investigate and resolve complex transactional issues, general ledger imbalances, and system anomalies requiring expert-level diagnosis and intervention.

**2. Strategic Advisory and Solution Design**:

- Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders and internal teams on native SYSPRO capabilities to minimise unnecessary customisation.
- Lead the scoping, analysis, and functional design of new business requirements and initiatives.
- Review existing workflows and recommend enhancements aligned with industry best practices, particularly within an FMCG operating environment where applicable.

**3. Training and Enablement**:

- Facilitate knowledge transfer by mentoring internal team members to strengthen SYSPRO troubleshooting and system understanding.
- Deliver focused training sessions for end-users and develop clear documentation to support new processes or functionality.
- Provide visible, on-site support to users to promote adoption, confidence, and effective system utilisation.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five years’ comprehensive hands-on experience with SYSPRO, including Financials, Distribution, and Manufacturing modules.
- Strong generalist understanding of the end-to-end system, from General Ledger through to inventory movements and work-in-progress.
- Proven experience working collaboratively within an internal team environment rather than operating solely as an external consultant.
- Solid technical capability, including the use of SQL Server for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.

**Preferred (but not essential)**:

- Experience within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods environment, including exposure to batch control, shelf-life management, and high-volume distribution.
- Previous involvement in system upgrades, including testing, validation, and support during patch or version updates.

**Soft Skills**:

- Demonstrated willingness to mentor, coach, and share knowledge with internal team members.
- Ability to transition effectively between strategic advisory work and hands-on technical troubleshooting as required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and business users clearly and effectively.
