The incumbent is required to employ his trade skills and experience in the servicing, repairs and maintenance of Hydraulic cylinder equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out work according to job card detail or as directed, in full and on time.
- Mentor, coach and lead work groups as apprentices and general assistants.
- Carry out related Field Service work as and when required.
- Carry out all work in accordance with best Hydraulic practice and in accordance with legislative norms and engineering standards.
- Maintain trade tools and general equipment in good order.
- Maintain the work environment in a clean state and to a safe standard.
- Diagnose faults and decide on remedial repair action.
- Determine a scope of work and document accordingly.
- Disassemble, clean, repair, replace and test hydraulic equipment.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric
- Valid trade papers.
- Minimum 5 years Hydraulic Fitter experience is a prerequisite.
- Work overtime and on public holidays as and when tasks demand
- Self-driven and able to work unsupervised or with limited supervision
- Valid code 08 driver’s licence.
- Valid passport would be an advantage.
- Be willing to undergo a medical fitness examination.
- Be willing to undergo training and learn skills beyond the field of Hydraulics as and when required.
- Be willing to carry out hands on work that may not specifically relate to Hydraulics such as Lubrication, Materials Handling, Drive repairs, Condition Monitoring, mechanical fitting etc
