- Assist Accountant/Senior Tax Consultant with bookkeeping and tax services for Doctors, management reports, preparing VAT & Tax Returns. General administration
- Have working knowledge and understanding of accounting and tax principles and legislation
- The need to keep up to date with and respond to changes in relevant legislation and to understand the impact thereof on the company and the client environment e.g. Income Tax Act, etc.
- The need for a relationship-oriented approach
- The need to be client focused and meet client requirements in order to ensure that the company is viewed as the Accounting and Tax Service Provider of choice
- The need to build client relationships at executive level
- Be familiar with company policies, procedures, standards and health and safety policies
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
- Assist Accountant/Senior tax consultant with day to day bookkeeping duties on Pastel including but not limited to capturing of bank statements, bank reconciliations, income statements, VAT reports
- Process monthly journals as required by Accountant/Senior tax
- Keep filing of client documents up to date
- Compile management reports to be signed off by Accountant/Senior
- Keep client files neat and up to date
- Communicate details of outstanding client documentation to Accountant/Senior tax
- Keep daily, progress and any other relevant reports up to date
- General admin duties as and when required
- Provide professional and effective tax and bookkeeping services
- Consult with and develop excellent relationships and service levels with clients-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Studying towards relevant accounting and tax qualification, degree or higher diploma
- 1 - 2 years Relevant tax/accounting/bookkeeping and consulting experience
