**Additional hours**: on some weeks on a Friday, the family may request to replace with evening babysitting until ±21h30, or offer it as overtime, to allow us a date night. During the weeks when the father is away (±1 week every 6 weeks), overtime would be offered & expected (where available) to cover some morning drop-offs (07h30 start) & bedtimes (19h00 finish). Overtime to be paid at R100 per hour.

For the boys, occasional school pick-up will be needed (two separate schools, both 5mins drive away). High-energy active play times in the afternoon are common at home, with frequent play dates. The Au Pair should be comfortable and confident taking them on trips out to parks, indoor play centres, parties & play dates.
During nap time, helping Mum with child-related household chores is also expected - from prepping school snack boxes & family dinner to packing away the children's laundry & tidying up playroom & bedroom toys. Once-a-week evening babysitting would be helpful, allowing Mum & Dad a date night dinner or trip to the movies & occasional overtime on Saturdays to help with the family logistics of multiple parties & extra-murals.

**Requirements**:minimum of 2-3 years childcare experience with young children, smart, confident, energetic and creative. Being self-motivated, taking initiative and keeping busy to support the family will be highly valued, being comfortable with managing sibling rivalry, disciplining consistently & instilling firm but fair boundaries.
**Start date**: Mid November 2024 start to allow for a hand over period - permanent contract
**Salary**:R15 500 per month + Automatic car provided for childcare duties + R100 per hour overtime.**

**All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements**:
**Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
**Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
**Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
**Must have a clear criminal record
**Must have a passion for children
**Must have Matric
**Must have a South African ID document.
