Our client based in the picturesque Paarl in the Cape Winelands has a vacancy for a Service Technician.

The ideal incumbent will have an N3 Fitter and Turner or Millwright Trade Certificate with 10 years post trade certificate on FMCG Food Packaging Industry.

With over 23 years of industry knowledge this company specialises in maintenance of packaging machines in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

**Position details**:
Type: Permanent
Job description / core competencies:
Building and set up of new machines.
Installation of company and OEM machines.
Machine set up and problem solving.
Service of packaging machines.
Installation and commissioning of packaging machines.
Training of operators on packaging machines.
Customer support with break downs.
Customer support with shutdowns and regular services on packaging machines.
Internal liaison with team w.r.t quoting/supplying parts and spares.
Visiting customers.
Workshop management.
Responsible for own productive time management.
Scope of machines: cartoning, flow wrapping, vertical form and fill, horizontal form and fill, multi-head weighers, tea bag, stick pack, thermoform machines, inline check weighers, labellers and conveyors.

Key work outputs:
Find new opportunities to supply machines /services.
Design review with designing office on new designs.
Working independently or in in a team.
Computer literate.
Professional communication skills with customers and feedback to management.

Job Qualification & Experience:
N3 - Fitter and Turner or Millwright Trade Certificate.
10 years post trade certificate on FMCG Food Packaging Industry.
