Job Title: Swim Instructor

Location: Claremont

Position Type: Part-time/Full-time

**Salary**: R230 per hour

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
- Create and implement lesson plans that focus on the development of swim skills and water safety
- Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring behavior in and around the pool
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding program updates, progress, and scheduling
- Maintain a clean and organized teaching area and equipment
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Qualifications:

- Current certification in Lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or Lifeguard
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of swim strokes and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with students of all ages and skill levels
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to swim for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
