**Water Treatment company based in Cape Town region, has a vacancy for a Process Engineering Lead (Wastewater). B degree in Chemical/Water Treatment and a minimum of 4 years experience in wastewater treatment products and services, focusing on wastewater design and implementation required. The Process Engineering Lead must design an optimal, in as far as possible, water treatment system that will meet the client’s requirements based on a thorough analysis of the information at hand. It is expected that the Process Engineering Lead critically analyse and evaluate the information (with respect to quality, quantity and accuracy) which will provide valuable feedback to the applicable departments and steer the direction of the project.**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering/Process/ Engineering (B.Eng/BSc/BTech/NDip).
- Masters degree (Water related) will be advantageous.
- Minimum 4 Years’ Experience in the Wastewater focused on Wastewater design and implementation.
- System design and generation of mass/hydraulic balances for PFDs
- Working knowledge of activated sludge and other suspended growth systems including MBR, attached growth systems such as trickling filters or rotating biocontactors, nutrient removal and excess phosphorus removal
- Practical and theoretical understanding of wastewater configuration and treatment strategies
- General understanding of/familiarity with Water and Wastewater Treatment Products and Services and ancillary technologies
- Code B Drivers license
- Ability to generate and interpret P&IDs

**Duties**:

- Project development.
- Client engagement.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Costings & Proposals in preparation of budget and final proposals.
- Technical evaluation of tenders;
- Interact and collaborate with the broader engineering team.
- Develop process solutions based on customer requirements.
- Process design improvements based on operator/engineering feedback on existing installations/executed projects.
- Preparation of product reports by collecting, analysing, and compiling information and trends.
- Provides detailed engineering information as required.
- Oversight and mentoring of juniors/graduates and/or interns.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
- Contributes to teamwork by communicating ideas and design approach as well as completing assigned tasks.
