**Responsibilities**:

- **SAP FI General Ledger Implementation**: Lead the implementation and configuration of the SAP FI General Ledger functionality, ensuring alignment with the organization's accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- **System Configuration and Customization**: Configure and customize the SAP FI module to support General Ledger operations, including chart of accounts setup, posting rules, document splitting, and profit centre accounting, inter-company reconciliation, GR-IR matching & reconciliation, Tax procedures set-up, integration with MM/SD, financial statement version configuration.
- **Writing Functional Specification and supporting developer**: Should be able to write functional specification for any custom development and help developer in testing.
- **Accounting Standards Compliance**: Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, such as GAAP or IFRS. Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the General Ledger processes. Implement necessary controls and processes to meet these requirements.
- **Closing and Reporting**: Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes within the SAP FI GL module. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Generate financial statements, reports, and analytics to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. Having Fiori experience would be an advantage.
- **Approval Workflows**: Design and implement approval workflows for financial transactions and postings, ensuring compliance with internal controls and segregation of duties. Streamline approval processes, leveraging SAP functionality, and automation tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- **Data Management, Integrity & Migration**: Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of financial data within the SAP FI module. Develop and maintain data quality standards and ensure accuracy and integrity of GL-related data.Assist data migration team in resolving technical issues and support them with right approach.
- **Training and User Support**: Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end users on the effective and efficient use of the SAP FI GL functionality. Address user queries, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to ensure smooth system operation.
- **Testing and Defect Resolution**:Ensure timely testing of SAP FI GL processes and enhancements according to project timelines. Resolve defects and troubleshoot issues. Create of new test scripts where required.
