**ROLE PURPOSE**:
Strategic and tactical role in the digital technology organisation and is accountable for the design methodologies and assurance of new and changing of all the technical services across Aspen and supporting business and technology partners/vendors globally. The accountability of the role includes architecture development, maintenance and improvement through strategic transformation. Responsible for driving innovation. The role is accountable service quality, addressing any service failures that may occur as well as leveraging automation as a competitive capability in Aspen.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Identifies and manages resources needed for the planning, development and delivery of specified information and communications systems services (including storage, modification and communication of data, voice, text, audio and images).
- Engages with and influences senior level stakeholders and project teams through change management processes, ensuring that the infrastructure is managed to provide agreed levels of service and data integrity.
- Takes full responsibility for budgeting, estimating, planning and objective setting.
- Plans and manages implementation of processes and procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of automated systems and services.
- Aligns the contribution of systems and services to clearly stated business and financial goals and performance targets.
- Monitors performance and takes corrective action where necessary and in line with policies.
- Develops new methods and organisational capabilities (including automation) for the management of systems and services.

**EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- B.Com / BSc Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
- Current industry certification in architecture (i.e., TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
- Operational Management Methodology (i.e., ITIL, COBIT, ITI4IT, DevOps, Agile)
- 10+ years’ experience of managing relationships with internal business customers
- Experience and sound knowledge of Operations management, implementation and improvement practices
- 10+ years’ experience managing technical operations and global services and automation in a large complex/matrix global organisation
- 10+ years’ experience leading teams, internal and 3rd parties in a multivendor approach
