Our client, a leading engineering company, seeks to employ an experienced Engineering Buyer, to join their progressive team.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION**
- You will have completed Matric, coupled with 5+ years experience in the procurement of engineering and construction related materials (a tertiary qualification in purchasing or supply chain is highly advantageous)
- You will have proven experience in sourcing suppliers, negotiating best prices, providing support to the project managers regarding tender compilation, as well as placing orders and following up on back orders.
- You will be able to forecast and plan according to projects, as well as be able to understand scope of works and ensure sufficient stock is delivered to the stores per project.
- You will have excellent communication skills, be able to interpret project schedules and prepare tender pricing documentation
- Your relationship building, organisational and planning skills will be of at a high level, as well as being able to review cost efficiency and quality of materials
- Advanced Excel and ERP (SAP, SYSPRO, PASTEL) expertise is essential
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
