Maintenance Technician

**Job Summary**:
**What you can expect**

The incumbent will be expected to contribute to the achievement of Business Unit targets by taking ownership and responsibility of the conducting of the required maintenance while ensuring implementation and compliance to the set guidelines and expectations. Duties will include:
**Responsibilities**:
Assist with the management and coordination and control all aspects of engineering in order to meet agreed departmental objectives with the help of available resources, manpower.

Assist with the maintenance strategy on a day-to-day basis, including routine, special and stop period maintenance, and to develop and implement long term proactive maintenance plans, to have minimum breakdown and achieve LEAN goals.

Ensure Health & Safety and Environmental standards and targets are met and maintained within defined company procedures and legislative requirements.

Maintain Preventative Maintenance Schedules for all areas of the plant in Westonaria

Ensuring that all maintenance relevant Work procedures, Risk assessments are completed and maintained.

Ensuring that all critical spares for plant operations are obtained and kept in stock (Draft and maintain Critical Spare and Stock list and Ordering of Spares.

**Experience**:
**What we expect**

Will be qualified to degree / diploma level with 5-10 year experience in a process, technical or engineering discipline. Be able to demonstrate previous success in introducing risk based maintenance techniques into industrial / manufacturing organisations. Must be familiar with computerised / PLC based maintenance management systems, and a knowledge of MS office, mailing techniques. Willing to work long hours if required under pressure. Willing to take full responsibility of a allotted job and get it done with team to achieve success. Should act with responsibility when dealing with customers
