**About this role**
As an AI and Discovery Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the success of the discovery area of the product by continuing to drive our AI and discovery strategy. In this remote position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve problems and seize opportunities that drive value for our customers, ensuring they align with the overall product vision defined by the Chief Product Officer.
**About the team**
The Product-Technology team at Fuse is made up of the Product, Tech and QA functions. Within Product, you will be part of the Product Management team, who work alongside Product Design and a new Product Ops team. In Tech, we have Engineering and the Platform team. In QA, the team is split between Analysts and Automation. Our squad structure has a permanent Product Manager, Lead Engineer and Lead QA Analyst, these squads are guided by KPIs, which is how the success of your role will be measured, along with broader impact areas.
As the PM for the Discover Squad you will be responsible for improving our discovery, search and AI agent tools.
**Your Responsibilities**
- Product Strategy:
- Develop and execute a product strategy aligned with business objectives and AI opportunities.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to track AI industry trends.
- Define and communicate the product vision, mission, and value proposition.
- Product Planning:
- Create product roadmaps and prioritise features based on customer needs, business goals, and AI capabilities.
- Translate business needs into actionable product features, enhancing or automating processes with AI.
- Develop product specifications, including user stories, feature requests, and KPIs.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure feasibility and impact.
- Product Development and Launch:
- Lead AI product development, ensuring best practices and cross-functional collaboration.
- Drive projects from inception to launch, working with engineering, data science, and design.
- Plan and execute product launches, highlighting AI-driven features through marketing, sales enablement, and customer training.
- Customer Focus:
- Build strong relationships with customers and the learning industry to understand needs and pain points.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform decisions.
- Gather feedback and refine products to enhance customer value.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyse product performance metrics and user data to drive improvements.
- Use data insights to track KPIs and inform product decisions.
- Backlog Grooming & Capacity Management:
- Maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritisation.
- Collaborate with development teams to break down user stories into actionable tasks.
- Assess squad capacity, monitor project progress, and manage delivery timelines.
- Provide business cases for resource adjustments to optimise delivery timelines and outcomes.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks related to backlog items, including technical challenges and dependencies.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Clearly communicate the product roadmap and priorities to teams and stakeholders.
- Provide updates on backlog status and resolve dependencies.
- Foster a knowledge-sharing culture and maintain product documentation.
- Facilitate alignment through data-driven insights and collaborative decision-making.
**Requirements**:
Preferred Technology Experience:
- Experience with AI/ML technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and deep learning.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and relevant AI/ML services.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Userpilot preferred).
