Electrical Technician

**Minimum Requirements**:

- A recognized qualification in Low Voltage Electrical (certificate, diploma, or equivalent).
- Must be based in Cape Town, South Africa.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in the electrical field (low voltage).
- Valid **Code B driving license** is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Installation and Maintenance**:

- **System Installation**: Lead the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, equipment, and components, according to specifications and safety standards.
- **System Maintenance**: Perform and oversee routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- **Troubleshooting**: Diagnose and repair complex faults in electrical systems, ensuring mínimal downtime and disruption.

**2. Field Service**:

- **On-Site Support**: Travel to client sites to provide installation, maintenance, and repair services as required.
- **Client Interaction**: Communicate with clients on-site to understand their needs, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and repair electrical/automation issues promptly. [In event of call out / when on standby]

**3. In-House Duties**:

- **Workshop Support**: Assist with in-house projects, including building and testing electrical panels and automation systems.
- **Inventory Management**: Discuss with workshop manager to maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of field service activities, including job cards, service reports, maintenance logs, and inventory records.

**5. Quality Assurance**:

- **Standards Compliance**: Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
- **System Testing**: Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical and automation systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for improvement in installation and maintenance processes and recommend solutions.

**6. Safety and Compliance**:

- **Safety Protocols**: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- **Incident Management**: Report any safety incidents or near misses and participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.

**7. Technical Support**:

- **Problem Solving**: Provide advanced technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues, assisting with complex issues and troubleshooting problems.
- **Training**: Stay current with industry developments and technologies and participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Pay: R14 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
