**Debtors Clerk - Northern Pretoria - Job ID 3704**

Our client, a national trucking transport and brokering company in the freight and logistics industry, is looking for an experienced Debtors Clerk to join their finance team - with potential for growth and learning other divisions within the company.

**Position details**:
Type: Permanent
Reports to: Finance Manager
Key internal relationships: Drivers, fleet control department, Ops Manager, finance department.
Key external relationships: Clients, loading and offloading facilities.
Primary Purpose: Debtors, follow up on payment, document control, invoicing.
Travel requirements: Office based

Job description / core competencies:
Assist Fleet Controller to check and correct his loading sheets/book.
Responsible to check the accuracy of load information on Soloplan.
Responsible to check and ensure POD’s were scanned correctly and clearly as well as that they were allocated to the correct load.
Inform Fleet Controller of any inaccuracies as well as missing or unclear POD’s.
Manage POD’s (physical or electronic) according to customer requirements.
Capture invoices using Soloplan and Pastel.
Ensure that courier waybills are created and original POD’s are send to client; where required.
Ensure that clients receive their invoices (weekly, monthly, or as required) as well as their monthly statement.
Assist clients with any invoice and/or POD queries.
Reconcile clients account at the end of the month with Solopan, Pastel and recon sheet.
Capture payments and match them with the correct invoices.
Ensure that the clients receive the amended monthly rates on time.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Gr 12 with Maths (essential) and Accounting (preferred).
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting (advantage).
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Debtors Clerk in a small to medium enterprise dealing with multiple and/or large clients.
- Bilingual - English and Afrikaans.
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Computer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook (Soloplan Fleet fleet management software will be an advantage, but if no experience can be trained).
- Programs: Pastel (required).
- Physical health: Good.
- Personal attributes:

- Persistent.
- Accurate.
- Be able to communicate on all levels.
- Motivated.
- Able to work as a team.
