Our client in Welington, Western Cape is looking for a Contruction Foreman with extensive experience.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Civil Engineering diploma/degree

**Experience Required**:

- Min 5 Years experience.
- Experience of pipework (sewage, water, stormwater) as well as road construction is strongly recommended.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. PLANNING**
- Execute activities according to weekly plan.
- Communicate program with teams
- Monitor progress against target and report any problems.

**2. MAN-MANAGEMENT**
- Ensure that induction of Labour is carried out as per policy.
- Allocate teams according to weekly plan.
- Evaluate personnel and make certain that correct construction methods are used.
- Ensure that team leaders and operators receive all necessary information from Surveyor prior to start of process.
- Ensure that discipline is maintained in team and hours of work are adhere to.
- Check that watchmen are on duty.

**3. PLANT MANAGEMENT**
- Monitor correct use of small plant and tools.
- Report downtime and mechanical problems.
- Ensure daily refuelling of plant.
- Plan for and clean plant as per schedule.

**4. MATERIAL MANAGEMENT**:

- Plan material requirements according to weekly plan.
- Report shortfalls timeously.
- Responsible for receiving, storage and loss control of materials.
- Report exceptions to G.F / Site Agent.
- Responsible for housekeeping of designated area.
- Check quality of delivered material.
- Use material according to prescriptions.

**5. COST MANAGEMENT**:

- Complete daily costing sheets and report results.
- Allocate correct cost codes for fuel and labour.
- Plan and manage team that targets are met.

**6. CONTRACTUAL MANAGEMENT**:

- Responsible for quality of work.
- Ensure that safety procedures are followed.
- Responsible for quality control and testing of material and work.
- Use correct line of communication with Engineers.

**7. PUBLIC RELATIONS**:

- Ensure Healthy relationships with Engineers and Client.
- Communicate conduct to workers with respect to company transport, toilet facilities and use of any public facilities.
- Be aware of public access and particular requirements of the contract.

**Salary**: R45,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- pipework (sewage, water, stormwater): 5 years (required)

**Language**:

- Speak, write and read English/Afrikaans (required)

Ability to Commute:
