**_ Position Purpose:_**
- To drive the implementation of work systems, procedures, and methodologies developed by the TNPA CI team, that enable

and encourage optimum performance standards as to ensure the attainment of outputs which enable Segment Strategy and
- TNPA growth expectations whilst ensuring continuous improvement of safety and operating standards.
- To provide, coordinate, facilitate operations performance monitoring and reporting processes, development and continues

improvement of strategic plan, through the Annual, Quarterly, Weekly and Daily operational performance reporting.
**_ Position outputs:_**
- Co-ordinate and consolidate all Regional port Strategic Business “Enterprise “performance management reports
- Develop standard reports (Dashboard, Templets) on performance across regional ports to simplify and standardise

reporting templets, establish centralised database and controls
- Drive, monitor and report performance against operational KPIs to ensure consistent business performance.
- Analyse and present management with Management Business Information for strategic decision-making
- Conduct trend analysis on quarterly and annual performance reporting (Exco and Ad hoc)
- Provide an oversight on regional operations performance and communicate impact to stakeholders.

Management Decision Making and Control
- Oversee and drive growth/improvement by assessing ports opportunities and identify opportunities to attract customers to

achieve a competitive advantage.
- Effective organising, planning, financial budgeting and coordination by compiling a comprehensive budget to determine and

ensure that the financial requirements can be met
- Management reporting: Communication of complex financial data and variance analysis.
- Lead networking and negotiations and industry assessment to understand industry trends and adapt to enable business

operations
- Continuous Improvement Programmes and Initiatives
- Lead strategic projects aimed at enhancing, port operations performance, with both internal and external stakeholders
- Establish customised Continuous Improvement processes to improve efficiencies.
- Analyse benchmarks for similar operations to determine performance indicators for the region
- Analyse global market trends in the logistics environment to determine TNPA’s position relative to competitors and design

solutions that will provide TNPA with a competitive advantage
- Operational Readiness and Business Continuity
- Drive the management and implementation of operational readiness plans and capacity for opportunities within the region.
- Lead the identification and closing of gaps in the short and long term demand planning process of the Region.
- Ensure regional objectives are (SMART) realised through adherence to Transnet policies, and standard processes &
policies for elimination of waste
- Drive alignment between the business plan, operational activities and strategic initiatives within Regions.
- Manage availability and relevance of MIS reports in line with the defined standards, the shareholders compact and TNPA's

balanced scorecard
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- 4- year Degree in Industrial Engineering Degree/Logistics/Transport Management/ Equivalent degree

Standard Job Requirements
- 10-12 Years Operational Experience, including 5 years in Senior Management position
- 5 years' experience in project management
- 2 - 5 years' experience in Lean or Six Sigma experience or Continuous improvement using proven and best in class

methodologies and process control and governance
