As an Executive Search and Career Consultant specializing in the niche market of Supply Chain, we represent some of the top leaders and are called upon by blue chip organizations in the country to secure talent and assist them in building high performance teams.
One such client of mine is a leading Retail company and they are looking for Category Manager for their Indirect commodities.
The successful incumbent will ensure the linkage of business strategy to sourcing strategy and initiatives of all indirect commodities with similar supply market-facing characteristics of goods and services by identifying value creation opportunities, identifying risks, managing spend and strategic project demands to produce enhanced business results by focusing on delivering customer service excellence and shareholder value.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Operations Management, Business Process Management, Analytics, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, management consulting with a demonstrated track record of results and increasing level of responsibility
- Corporate Services and Professional Services Procurement/Sourcing experience
- MCIPS (Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply), PMP (Project Management Professional) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) desirable
