A global leader whose EMEA division leads the development of door openings and products for access solutions in homes, businesses, and institutions is wishing to appoint an Electronics Technician.

**Principle Responsibilities and skills required**:

- A passion for electronics.
- Very computer literate. Ability to do basic troubleshooting e.g., C++, C, Asm.
- Create and use of computer database for planning and record-keeping systems within a production environment.
- Experienced in the sourcing and repairing of replacement parts for electronic systems.
- Ability to do all kinds of electronic fault finding (Analog, Digital), installing, assembling, repairing and maintenance on electronic components and systems.
- Create logic and program various microcontrollers, PIC, ATMEL, Arduino, etc.
- Understand how high and low voltage systems work. Able to manipulate waveforms to achieve a desired output, using frequency choppers, drives, stepper motors, etc.
- Good understanding of basic electronic as well as electrical engineering principals.
- Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in robot programming, fault-finding, and troubleshooting, Fanuc, UR-Universal Robots.
- Ability to program, fault find PLC’s, HMI’s, vision systems, using various software, Siemens STEP 7, Codesys, Delta.
- Understand how maintenance systems work. Create and implement preventative maintenance schedules for electrical and electronic systems.
- Reasonable understanding of the mechanical working of machines that are controlled by or interphase with electronic systems.
- Basic use of CAD software e.g., SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD.
- Write operating procedures and provide system use training.

- BTech/HDip Electronics Engineering
- N6 Electronics

**Experience Detail**
- No less than 5 years in the field of electronics maintenance and design

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R480,000.00 per year
