Are you passionate about electronics and quality assurance? GEW Technologies (Pty) Ltd is seeking a **Test Field Technician** to join our dynamic production team. If you have hands-on technical expertise and a keen eye for detail, this role is for you

**Job Purpose**:
The Test Field Technician will focus on testing and fault-finding of electronic products in a production environment. Key responsibilities include acceptance testing at various production stages, component-level troubleshooting, and repair. The technician will also be responsible for fault reporting and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Relevant technical certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an electronic manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Familiarity with IPC soldering standards and quality control processes.

**Key Technical Skills Required**:

- Natural aptitude for hands-on technical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams and technical drawings.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
- Experience with product assembly and ESD safety measures.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of SMT components and electronic test equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct preparation, fault-finding, alignment, functional, unit, and subsystem testing.
- Perform quality inspections, calibration, and testing according to documentation standards.
- Execute diagnostics, repairs, and rework to restore full functionality and specifications.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Provide accurate feedback and reporting on test results and faults.
