72-bed Psychiatric Facility in Durban, is looking for a Technical/Maintenance Manager to ensure seamless operation and upkeep of our facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hospital premises, including electrical, plumbing, knowledge of VRV, Solar, Heat pump and HVAC systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and identify potential issues.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly, addressing any issues efficiently to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures while carrying out maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other staff members regarding maintenance and provide support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper storage of tools and equipment.

Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.

**Requirements**:

- Technical qualification and training in a relevant field are preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, VRV, Solar, Heat pump and HVAC systems, as well as general maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Own transport.
