**GYM MANAGER JOB ADVERT**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Gym Manager. We are opening a brand new gym facility in our mall based in Phoenix. Our goal is to create a world class facility therefore we are seeking an individual who is experienced and service driven.

**As a Gym Manager your core focus are as below**:

- Be responsible for the overall operations of the gym in its entirety.
- Be focused on sales and income generation with a goal on profitability.
- Market the facility by advertising and promoting the facility to increase usage.
- Ensure all levels of health and safety protocols are followed on a daily basis.
- Ensure that the facility is organized and ready to service members while driving sales.
- Report directly to the Directors and Mall Manager by ensuring all reporting is done accurately and timeously.
- Ensure a high-level service delivery standards and protocols are maintained.
- Conduct market research and design and promote activities to meet customer demand.
- Maintain a high level of customer care services (handle complaints and incidents, such as accidents, emergencies or theft)
- Report all maintenance issues to the relevant service providers.
- Ensure optimum cleanliness of the facility.
- Recruit, train and supervise and manager staff.
- Ensure own and staff members' first aid training is up to date.
- Prepare and check budgets and generate income.

**Gym Manager Competencies**:

- Have a firm understanding of the fitness industry.
- Have a strong understanding of company infrastructure and gym equipment
- Strong knowledge of processes involved in the daily operations of the gym and its various departments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Gym Manager Requirements**:

- A grade 12 qualification.
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing or Business Administration
- 2-3 years of gym management experience
- Have strong administrative and financial knowledge

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

**Experience**:

- gym management: 2 years (required)
