MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric certificate/ equivalent
Section 13 Trade Test or section 26D as a qualified fitter.
Preferably 8 to 10 years’ experience working as a qualified artisan.
5 years’ experience as appointed Foreman in Mining underground or Opencast operation and contracting industry (Mechanical & Electrical) / MV Certification would be an added advantage)
Must have competent B.
Computer literate
Valid Driver’s license - Code 8
Medically fit
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Sound knowledge and experience of underground Engineering related operations & maintenance, equipment operation.
Exceptional knowledge regarding Electrical reticulations installations and the maintenance thereof
Underground planned maintenance principles regarding work planning / schedules.
Understand the fundamentals regarding forecasting relevant resources via SAP systems to minimize downtimes.
Ability to manage at front line, conducting inspection, repairs, and service maintenance work leadership experience with subordinates.
Excellent working knowledge of the Mine, Health & Safety Act and Regulations
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and execute routine, preventive and conduct corrective maintenance.
Delicate, monitor all electrical activities, inspections, repairs, and service maintenance work leadership with subordinates.
Provide a safe, secure, and sustainable environment for your team.
Monitor compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and statutory requirements, and implement immediate measures to correct or eliminate any instances of non-conformance.
Optimize cost effectiveness of equipment consumables and parts by providing specifications on equipment and parts required.
Ensure company skills development initiatives are in place as per Employment Equity and site-specific requirements.
