**Purpose**:The incumbent is responsible to assist the Maintenance Foreman with daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure plant availability and reduce deterioration. Assist with all site maintenance and be pro-active. Keep safety file up to date at all times; perform inspections to comply with safety procedures and tracking chart. Assist Maintenance foreman with all projects.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Code B License would be advantageous
- Boiler operators certificate
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in maintenance
- Electrical experience would be an advantage
- Have a technical aptitude

**Skills Required**:

- Must have a hands-on approach as well as technical skills and abilities
- Must be self-motivated, innovative, energetic and self-driven
- Digger loader or forklift driving experience

**Job Summary**:

- Ensure routine and preventative maintenance is done on equipment effluent lines and general site maintenance
- Responsible to ensure that routine testing of water and effluent samples are done timeously
- Ensure water readings are done monthly and record therefore is kept
- To act as standby Boiler Operator as and when required
- Form part of the safety team and conduct safety inspections
- Form part of the fire team
- Ensure stock levels are maintained
- Assist ad-hoc duties as an when required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Worcester, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
