Production Administrator
Purpose of the role:
To estimate the cost of products and plan and co-ordinate the production process
To expedite on print production process and delivery
Key Performance Objectives:
Prepare Costing’s and negotiate the best prices for various products
Assess cost effectiveness of products
Plan & coordinates production process to meet product delivery dates and maintain delivery schedules
Ensure all financial administration functions are completed accurately within specified time frames
Initiate the orders and co-ordinate the delivery and invoicing of stock items for the production process as outlined in the WIP
Stock levels for all products to be maintained
Assist with ad-hoc projects
Preparation of Budget and Re-forecast process
Ensure the quality of products meets LN standards
Manage administration functions and oversee Assistant Production administrator with:
Updating and maintaining Delivery Date Schedule
To review a printers Schedule and confirm delivery date.
Check the price from printers schedule and update it on People Soft and dispatched it.
Checking stock has been receipted
Processing Branded, Reprint, Subs, Posters, Binders and Guide Cards Orders
Preparing Branded, Reprint, Subs Order costing
Saving the PDF file and Cover on supplier FTP sites
Requesting updated reprint file from the Editors
Distribution ISBN’s to the Editors and Managers that they have been requested.
Assisting answering all the queries coming from Customer service, ie ETA’s, customers not receiving they stock.
Assisting on checking up stock on the system B/O
Distribution of the proof to the editors
Updating and Dispatching the PO
Checking advance copies
Following up on Schedules, pricing and dates with suppliers
Dispatching of PO’s on the system.

Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma or relevant qualifications - Supply Chain
Costing Experience
