Job summary
Must be Cad competent. They run TurboCad
Experience in structural engineer’s drawings, specifically reinforced concrete and bending schedules will be an advantage

Summary of essential job functions

Liaise with engineer to gather product and structural requirements and designs

Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials

Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Liaise closely with production team and identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality

Ensure final designs comply with customers’ requirements.

Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Drafts person in structural engineering or similar role
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (not essential)
Good math skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Diploma from a technical college or equivalent qualification, or suitably experienced.
English / Afrikaans
